At Koru Wellness, we believe healing is holistic. We’re here to support all of you—body, mind, and spirit. That’s why we offer more than just ketamine therapy—we’re here to support your whole self. One of the most grounding, restorative services we’re now proud to offer is Foot Zoning.

What is Foot Zoning?

Foot zoning is a holistic therapy that works by stimulating specific signals, or zones, on the feet. These zones correspond to different organs, systems, and energy pathways in the body. When stimulated, the body’s natural ability to realign and heal is activated.

The practice has ancient roots, tracing back to traditional healing systems in China, Egypt, and Native American medicine. Today’s modern version of foot zoning was developed in the mid-1900s by Dr. Charles Ersdal in Norway, who began mapping out the foot's connection to the body after recovering from paralysis using reflex-based therapy.

Foot zoning is not just about the physical body—it can help calm the nervous system, move emotional energy, and bring clarity and peace to the mind.

How Does Foot Zoning Support Ketamine Therapy?

Ketamine-assisted therapy can open up powerful emotional releases and insights. But the healing doesn’t stop when the medicine wears off—integration is key. That’s where foot zoning comes in.

Here’s how it supports the integration process:

  • Grounds the Nervous System: After a ketamine session, foot zoning helps you return to your body and feel centered again.

  • Encourages Emotional Processing: Emotions that surfaced during ketamine therapy can continue to move and release through the body with gentle foot work.

  • Supports Detoxification: Ketamine and other stressors can create a need for gentle detox. Foot zoning activates the lymphatic system and supports the body’s natural cleansing processes.

  • Promotes Relaxation & Clarity: Many clients leave foot zoning sessions feeling calmer, clearer, and more connected to themselves.

When and How Often Should You Book a Session?

We recommend a 60-minute foot zoning session once a month, especially if you’re using it alongside ketamine therapy. It’s a gentle way to stay connected to your healing journey between sessions, and a powerful tool for continued emotional, mental, and physical support.

Final Thoughts

Healing is never one-size-fits-all. At Koru Wellness, we’re always looking for ways to support you more deeply, with real, human care. Foot zoning offers a grounded, intuitive, and body-based complement to the transformative work of ketamine-assisted therapy.

If you’ve recently had a ketamine session—or are preparing for one—foot zoning could be the missing link in helping you feel more balanced, empowered, and whole.

Scheduling is now open. Your next step could start with your feet!
